The recent renovation of the Lebanon Opera House, a 1920s landmark in New Hampshire, showcases how Zintra can seamlessly unite heritage design with modern acoustic performance.
Completed through Zintra’s North American partners, MDC, and designers Lauren McGuire and Genella McDonald from Stibler Associates, the renovation breathed new life into the Lebanon Opera House while honouring its Art Deco roots.
Zintra’s versatility and customisation capabilities were instrumental in achieving this balance. The design team utilised custom digital print and precision cutting to create panels that echoed the Opera House’s original arches, adding depth and character while maintaining historical integrity. This ability to tailor both pattern and form allowed Zintra to become a cohesive design thread throughout the space.
The material’s acoustic performance and durability further enhanced the renovation, with Zintra used to form a dramatic sound-absorbing ceiling medallion in the vestibule - elevating both the visual and auditory experience for patrons and ensuring the space performs as beautifully as it looks.
