At COOOP.co’s Sydney headquarters, a dedicated podcast studio was designed to support focused dialogue, creative exchange, and private meetings within a busy workplace environment. The space needed to function as both a high-performance recording studio and an intimate collaboration room.

A key challenge of the project was managing acoustics within a curved architectural envelope. The design called for an acoustic solution that could follow the radius of the walls while maintaining a soft, neutral color palette suited to recorded and in-person discussions.

To achieve this, 12mm and 24mm acoustic wall panels in Pebble were custom cut into narrow sections, allowing them to wrap seamlessly around the curved perimeter. Chamfered edges ensured clean alignment and precise joins, creating a continuous surface that enhances both sound absorption and visual cohesion.

Above, custom acoustic ceiling circles were installed to further control reverberation and balance sound within the room. Together, the wall and ceiling treatments reduce echo and external noise intrusion, helping to improve speech clarity and recording quality.

The result is a warm, enclosed environment engineered to minimize distraction and optimize focus - ideal for podcast production, content creation, and private workplace collaboration.
